New Lamborghini Murciélago LP 650-4 Roadster Limited Edition

Continuing looking at Designshoot and saw this on their home page. I guess Lamborghini came out with a limited edition luxury car. Has a v12 engine, 650 hp, and only 50 of them will be made. To me it almost seems like a toy car you see little kids playing with. Or even a transformer. I do really like the dark grey on it because it gives that intimidating look to it.

Special Olympic Torch Run T-shirts

These shirts were design for the Special Olympic Torch Run for them to sell during the event. Since they were sponsor by the law enforcement, I used a flashlight as a torch instead just to show that they were involved in the event.

10 cool phone concepts

My phone has bee acting really funny lately. It will lose reception and then just stay like that for the longest time or sometimes it wouldn’t get some of my calls or text message. I’m the type who likes to have a phone that no on else has yet, at least in Oregon. The phone I have now I bought it overseas and have been using it for quite awhile but it is time for a new one. So I started looking at different cool phones and stumble across this page that has 10 cool phone concepts. We don’t know how the phones in the future will look like but some of the designs on these phones are very amazing.

I personally like this one, the NEC Tag. It’s a flexible phone concept that can be hung from a belt or wrapped around the person’s arm. The phone has shape-memorizing material and sensors that allows the phone to change its shape according to the mode. Very interesting.

Cool room design

So I came across this page called Designshoot and it’s a blog that has a whole bunch of different publish designs such as graphic design, architectural design, product design, technology design and many more. You can submit your work on there and they basically advertise it for you. Well I saw a master bed room design that totally brings the true meaning of going green. The carpet even looks like grass and the whole color scheme really gives you that relaxing and outside feeling. During the summer my allergies are really bad and sometimes even medicine won’t help it. I would have to stay inside on a nice sunny day and I think if this was my room it would balance it out a little on those sunny days.

Creative Architect

I remember taking drafting in high school and thought to myself how amazing some houses are design the way they are. If I remember correctly there are also a lot of rules too. Like the toilet in the bathroom is suppose to be how many feet away from the sink and the bath.

Anyways, I came across this page called Dezeen and notice some cool projects they want to do in Sweden to increase walk ways for pedestrian, linking two island together, and bring a new popular destination to the area.

interesting portfolio site

I came across Danleo’s portfolio site and thought it was sort of cool how he layout his stuff. There was no clicking here or there it’s just one long scroll. There’s a lot of flash on that site and before you enter it. The beginning will tell you to click on the sewer, when you do it basically it feels like your diving into the sewer to see the site. I thought that was pretty cool, felt like a game or a movie for a second. The only thing I wish was some more content on each of his pieces, I just want to know a little bit more about them rather than just looking at the photos.

Tropicana’s look

I’m surfing through AIGA and came across this article called “When Bad Things Happen to Good Logos.” Great article I must say. About half way down the article they talked about Tropicana and it’s new look. I knew a lot of people were disagreeing with it’s new look because it made the product look too generic. I personally kind of like it but it does seem a little too generic. As I was reading the article, I was surprise to find out Tropicana had a mascot and she was a little girl called Tropic-ana. Cute and innocent, Tropic-Ana symbolized a widespread view of superiority over indigenous peoples the world over (she was apparently a native to Florida) that underscored the colonialist/manifest destiny idea that “the natives” exist only to serve the American way of life.

1 Seated Car??

When I was looking for that photo of Homer and his funny car. I came across this photo of a home made car on Jamie Rothwell’s blog. First thought was “are you serious?” I don’t know about you but I love having company when I’m driving and that just looked like a lonely sad thing. Remind me of those little car races you would have when you were younger where you would build your own car. Except this one is for adults.
